What a delightful coincidence it is that the nickname my closest friends and my sister have used since forever is so obviously hiding in the verb that is responsible for all those filled boxes you must have stumbled upon when you first walked into this storage!
If you haven’t it guessed already, that verb is “concepting”. And even if it weren’t for its first three letters so blatantl calling me, the definition would still describe my default mode perfectly.
From the Trojan Horse and the Labyrinth to the Odyssey and Icarus’ wings, the essence of every story I grew up with is encapsulated in symbols. This is why branding makes so much sense to me. When talking about advertising, I’ve realized that I really like using the word “dramatizing”. Drama, a greek word, is inherently emotional and participatory, just like most of this portfolio’s campaigns you are invited to dive into!
A very important part of the person I have become is music - although Apollo was never my favorite Olympian God, Poseidon was! I have written and produced my songs in my bedroom since I was 15 and recently I proudly started opening the window for some to make their way out the outside world. Koncepting and ultimately building from scratch an emotional and visual world to promote my songs introduced me to what I now know is called “art direction”.
Logic asks the riddle. Creativity solves it. Both hemispheres win.
